Scarce psych rock gem featuring APHRODITES CHILD on the PHILIPS label from 1969.  Titles are “The Other People” and “Plastics Nevermore.”

First time I have ever seen this rarity.

Comes with scarce original fold-out jacket/sleeve on pink card stock, also in very nice shape.  Jacket is adorned with psychedelic pop art printed in purple.  Contains the following liner notes:

Be Aware of Four Greeks Bearing Gifts:

“Four gifted, young musician-vocalists from Athens, Greece, who combine the unusual instruments of the Near East with the amplified guitars and bass of mod rock in a sound that it truly new to an overcrowded scene.

Not only is their sound unusual, but their composition is fresh and new, listen to “Plastics Never More.”  Dig the melody.  Hear the melding of a culture thousands of years old with 20th century Now Sounds.

Listen closely to the vocalists.  Dig the impassioned, fervent lyricising.

These four copy none.  Greece can be proud of this Philips single recorded in Athens.”

This is a stock copy, catalog number is Philips 40536.  Labels are clean and pristine.  No cutout markings of any kind.

Sleeve:   The sleeve is in overall very nice condition.  There is one small area that is lightly stained inside the left gatefold, not a serious problem.  Also, there is a bent corner at the bottom right gatefold flap.  Otherwise clean and nice with no writing, stickers, or other marks.

Vinyl:   Disc is very nice EX.   Displays 100% of original brilliant gloss.  Would grade near mint except for one small scuff on “The Other People” side that is not audible, otherwise flawless.  This is a great sounding record, and I am certain the winning bidder will be very pleased.

Guaranteed to be authentic and original.   I do not sell bootlegs or modern reissues.
