In 1969, folk singer Barbara Dickson, then at the start of her glittering  career, together with Archie Fisher recorded this gorgeous album. A must for all  fans of Scottish history, Scottish music, and indeed the two enormous talents  involved.

In 1745 Charles Edward Stuart, grandson of James II, and better known as Bonnie  Prince Charlie invaded Scotland in an attempt to restore his family to the  British thrown. As we all know the attempt failed, but it did spawn a plethora  of great folksongs, 'The Fate O' Charlie - Songs of the Jacobite Rebellions'  gathers together some of these songs.
