ARCHIE Idol-ness in Riverdale mid '60's Tifton 78006
VINYL: VG+ SLEEVE: VG to VG+ check the I in "Idol-ness which is kinda weird (white out?) & there is a crease near the top of the spine.
This is a mega-rare Lp. At the listing I don't see another for sale. As former fan of the Archie comic books I quite enjoyed this, The acting, singing & playing is professional. The songs are about what you would expect from a talented early '60's high school band but certainly not hit-worthy. The story is about Archie, Reggie & Jughead being annoyed at Betty,Veronica & Big Ethel's hero worship of the Gargoyles (obviously based on the Beatles) & the the girls being angry at the boys mocking them. This by the way was something that happened a lot in the early days of the Beatles. Veronica's father hires the Gargoyles for a charity concert. They end up having to cancel. The
boys learn about the cancellation but don't pass on the info. Instead they disguise themselves
as the Gargoyles and replace them. I actually think if it had better songs it would make a very fun
Broadway Musical. It is kind of a cross between Grease and Bye Bye Birdie. I don't believe the group "The Archies" has anything to do with this LP.There are some comments /reviews(good&bad) on the Lp in the links below.

NM: virtually no signs of use. Should play like new. / Cover is still undamaged & in shrink.
VG++ a couple small only surface marks that should have only minor if any affect sound. /Cover almost perfect.
VG+ Used but not abused. Some mostly surface lines. If any audible imperfections they should be relatively minimal.
The cover will be in good shape but there will be some signs of use.
VG Might have a number of only surface lines or may have a small scratch. Some background sound but still enjoyable.
In this condition any significant defects will be noted.
VG- It will have significant background sound from various defects but music always be quite audible above it. Or it may have a scratch.
