Description
Hello and Welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE/ARTIST: "Lady Soul" by Aretha Franklin on the Atlantic Records label (SC 8176) in vintage original stereo sound, issued circa 1968.
CONDITION OF VINYL: Near Mint(Vinyl has extremely light scuff marks and retains its shiny finish - graded visually using special daylight balanced spotlight). CONDITION OF JACKET: Near Mint(Jacket has very light edge/corner wear and initials printed on back top left - please see photos of actual album offered).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare Atlantic Records original vinyl issue of Aretha Franklin's Lady Soul, featuring her astonishing redefinition of the word "Soul". This is the original 1968 edition, with interesting liner notes by John Landau and including the original sticker on front. This is absolutely guaranteed to be a "one owner" record: ME, and those are my initials. Beautiful condition. This is a treasure.
