ARK:Voyages(Fanny #070194 USA / Belgium 1978/1994)

Long deleted exact legitimate numbered reissue of 500 copies
limited vinyls...Monster US psych garage spooker LP from 1978
who was originally pressed at only100 copies (3 stars in the
Hans Pokora book)...11 tracks in a mellow late 60's West-Coast
Psych-Rock style despite the vintage, lots of effects, echoey vocals,
fine guitarworks and can be compared to Marcus, Michael James,
Dr.Hooker and the Doors…Consistent throughout, with a relaxed
feel and reflective late night mood that makes it seem unexceptional
at first listen, then it creeps upon to you...This album sound more
like 1970 and was valued at one point around $1000+, due no doubt
to reports that only 100 were made, though copies do seem to turn
up occasionally, this more affordable re-issue appeared in 1994...
This re-issue is housed in black/white paste on sleeve artwork exactly
like the original...It's totally deleted elsewhere, but still have 2 copies
from the remaining copies I found when I stopped my shop at the end
of 2010...It had a slight warp and some scuffs on the vinyl (no affecting
play) due to bad storage...
