UNA SERA A CASA CON GLI AMICI Lp by ARMANDO TROVAJOLI with CARLO PES / I MARC 4 and I CANTORI MODERNI DI ALESSANDRONI. Original Italian pressing on the CBS label (S 63582), from 1969. Superb and seldom heard soundtrack rarity by the cult arranger. Obscure, alternative arrangements featuring several of Trovaioli's most desirable film themes. Certain versions were never released on any other original recording. Our soundclip opens with the infectious I Marc 4 lounge funk and fuzz distortions of QUANDO'ERO UN BEBE' and FIORELLA WITH THE UMBRELLA with vocals sung in English / the funky version of L'ARCIDIAVOLO with bumpy b-boy drums / a sublime jazz waltz version of LA MATRIARCA with sexy scat chorus / the chic bossa nova lounge of FRANCOISE / the beat generation hammond and bongo shake of IL PROFETA with Alessandroni sitar and groovy oriental motifs / the harpsichord and hammond groove of SCARPE GIALLE / the mellow I Marc 4 psych pop sound of IL FILO DEI GIORNI and more. Elegant string orchestrations / cool flute / Brazilian influenced jazz / the funky hippie guitars of Carlo Pes and counterpoint vocal harmony too. Great for DJs and a big record with certain Japanese collectors. Very rare Lp!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ condition with some hairlines. Light surface noises but all copies seem to have this. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places. Some faint, faded old pressing residue marks. The laminated flipback sleeve with psychedelic pop art design is in strong VG+ condition with general corner / edge wear. Fading / natural age discoloration to outer edge areas and ring dirt marks from storage to back sleeve (again, common for this release). Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very rare Lp!!!
