ARRIVAL OF KENNY DORHAM - RARE ORIGINAL MONO LP 1959 JARO JAM 5007 - BEAUTIFUL

Up for auction is a beautiful exceedingly rare original mono LP, The Arrival OF Kenny Dorham - JARO INTERNATIONAL JAM 5007.  The color scheme of the labels on the record (blue on white instead of white on blue) also indicates that this may be a promo copy of the record (as seen in Google images), although there is not a promo sticker or stamp on the labels or cover so I cannot be sure about that. 

Using the grading scale below, I grade the record between VG+ and NM since there are just a few superficial scuff marks and the record has great gloss.  The record also sounds excellent with just a bit of minor surface noise in a few places. 

The cover also is beautiful -- I grade it between VG and VG+. There is a bit of wear as can be seen in the photos consistent with age.  The front cover looks beautiful with very subtle ring wear in the laminated cover (only seen in certain light) and a very small area on bottom were the laminate appears to be lifting (still adhered).  The back cover also looks great with a slight bit of yellowing.  As can be seen in the photos, there is a bit of writing at the upper left corner and there is a small bit of discoloration and slight fold on the upper right corner.  The corners have light wear.  There is a small 3/4 inch area on the spine, shown in the photos, where the paper is either not glued down or splitting a bit.  There is a slight 1/2 inch seam split on the lower right corner (shown in a photo).  I am seeking to describe all of the imperfections, but overall, the cover is solid - especially for a record 55 years old. 

The inner sleeve also looks excellent -- there is partial seam split on the bottom (in the middle) and on one side (again in the middle).

Grade Scale:

( S ) SEALED = VINYL assumed mint, never open.
( M ) MINT = VINYL absolutely perfect in every way, never played.
( NM ) NEAR MINT = VINYL nearly perfect, no obvious signs of wear. COVER should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes.
( VG+ ) VERY GOOD PLUS = VINYL may have scuff marks , very light scratches and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly, with only barely detectable crackles or pops; a slight noise at the beginning is  allowable. COVER may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
( VG ) VERY GOOD = VINYL has light scratches, may crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally, and no more loudly than the music. COVER has normal wear such a ring wear and split seams , creases , wear at corners , edges & spine.
( G ) GOOD  = VINYL has scratches, may have continuous crackles, pops, significant surface noise. COVER has more than normal wear and tear.
( P ) POOR = VINYL is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. COVER barely keeps the lp inside.
