Description
Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers
Moanin'Lee Morgan, trumpet ... Benny Golson, tenor sax ... Bobby Timmons, piano ...
Jymie Merritt, bass ... Art Blakey, drums ...
very rare US first press vinyl LP released 1958 on BLUE NOTE RECORDS with deep groove mono labels with 47 West 63rd St. address, and catalognumber BLP 4003.
There is no INC. and no ® under the E of 'Blue Note', with beautiful laminated front cover, no INC. on the back, and 'Blue Note Records' is set in a serif font.
In the dead wax the "ear" or "P" symbol for Plastylite is hand-etched, and RVG is stamped. Both deep groove labels are clean with no INC. and there is no ® under the E of 'Blue Note' on both sides.
The beautiful cover has no INC. on the back side, and there is just a small corner issue only, but otherwise excellent.
The vinyl playgrades excellent / nearmint with EMT and Ortofon mono pickup systems despite some obvious visible scuffs. I can confirm stunning audiophile soundquality without any harsh ticks, clicks, or alike, just absolute amazing dynamics. See photos ...
