Description

ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS- MOSAIC. Blue Note Records, BLP 4090, 1961, 1st original Mono issue.  Features:  Freddie Hubbard, Curtis Fuller, Wayne Shorter, Cedar Walton and Jymie Merritt.
Deep groove pressing, RVG and Plastylite "Ear" etched in runout.  Blue Note Records Inc- New York USA on label.  Laminated cover.
Disc condition:  VG-.  Many light scuffs and marks both sides.  Heavier marks on Side 2, Track 2 that result in pops, but not skips.  Label fading at edges.  Plays with some surface noise in quieter parts.
Sleeve condition: Front: VG+  Glossy laminate, no splits, no tears or stains.  Corner bumps all four corners. Back: Good.  Foxing stains at edges Spine:  VG+  No splits, no loss of title, artist, or record label verbiage
Only listened very briefly, but plays remarkably quiet for age and condition.  Not mint, but a nice original, 1961 mono play copy.  Fantastic jazz!
