ART BLAKEY – WITH THELONIOUS MONK – ATLANTIC 1278 – M-/M- - DG – BLACK LABEL - MONO

Recorded on May 15, 1957, this Atlantic session features Art Blakey on drums, Bill Hardman on trumpet, Johnny Griffin on tenor, Thelonious Monk on piano and Spanky DeBrest on bass. SIDE 1: EVIDENCE; IN WALKED BUD and BLUE MONK. SIDE 2: I MEAN YOU; RHYTHM-A-NING and PURPLE SHADES. This is a Deep Groove pressing and a MONO recording.

I have graded both the LP and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is completely clean on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. There are a few marks, but no sign of wear. The vinyl still has its original shine. The record jacket is in near mint condition, with no real sign of wear.
