Vintage '62 USA stereo pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the NEW YORK USA address on the labels (no dg). "EAR" etched and VAN GELDER stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Matrix number is hand-etched on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Art Blakey/drums, tympani, gong, telegraph drum; Yusef Lateef/oboe, flute, tenor sax, cow horn, thumb piano; Ahmed Abdul-Malik/bass; Solomon G. Ilori/vocal, penny whistle, talking drum; Chief Bey/conga, telegraph drum, double gong; Montego Joe/bambara drum, double gong, corboro drum, log drum; Garvin Masseaux/chekere, African maracas, conga; James Ola. Folami/conga; Robert Crowder/basta drum, conga; Curtis Fuller/tympani. The vinyl is in phenomenal NM condition (absolutely beautiful gloss)!! The thick cover is in superb excellent shape, bright & clean, displays wonderfully. No writing, no seam splits, no cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23. The songs are: Ife L'Ayo; Obirin African; Love, The Mystery Of; Ero Ti Nr'Ojeje; Ayiko Ayiko; Tobi Ilu.**Crisp, original BLUE NOTE Records paper inner sleeve included!**
