Description
This auction is for a rare original French pressing of a jazz record entitled "Bande Sonore Originale Du Film 'Les Stances A Sophie'" from the Art Ensemble Of Chicago. This is the hard to find original import pressing released in 1970. This is an incredible and rare jazz record with great players and songs on it! Released by Pathe as 2C062 - 11365. The vinyl sounds fantastic with only some extremely minor noise present mostly during the quiet intros of songs. Rated audibly and visually at VG+ conservatively. Very clean and bright center labels! The jacket has the original laminate on it as European pressings from this time would. There is very little wear present besides a crease in the upper left corner which I have attempted to photograph. It appears it has creased the laminate more than the jacket itself as the back of the jacket shows very little sign of a crease in that area. For this reason I have rated the jacket at VG+, it's really in fantastic shape with great corners and seams.

- M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
- VG+ Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
- VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
- VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
- G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
