Hello! Up for bids is this amazing record...an original 1956 pressing of "The Return of Art Pepper", on Jazz West Records (JWLP-10). I don't need to tell record collectors how rare this album is... it has been in my personal collection for a long time, and is the absolute finest copy of this LP I've ever seen or heard. Vinyl is very shiny, and just has some light hairlines, definitely EX. There are absolutely no scratches or any major audible problems at all (just a few light crackles here and there). There is a very slight hiss all the way through this album, which is common among smaller record labels in the 1950's. This has nothing to do with the record condition, only with the original recording itself. It has been stored in a plastic audiophile sleeve. This record has been play-tested...I've listened to it a handful of times, and have always been amazed at how good it sounds (especially considering the rarity and age). The jacket has no seam splits, very sharp corners, very light wear on the front cover, and does have a previous owner's name written very small in the top left corner. However, there is a possibility that parts of the top and bottom seams have been reglued. This was pointed out by a possible buyer last month. I have never reglued this, and even if it has been reglued, whoever did it did a great job (you can barely tell, and the seams are very tight).
