One of only two albums Arthur Alexander released in his lifetime (we tend to dismiss the third, the one he recorded just before his death, in 1991) this is a gorgeous display of his mighty vocal prowess; The album was recorded at the legendary Muscle Shoals studio (Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Wilson Pickett, Clarence Carter, Dusty Springfield, etc) with a highly sympathetic and supportive ENTIRE Muscle Shoals house band, including the legendary Tommy Cogbill, who doubles as a producer. The album includes new versions of the two classic Arthur Alexander early 60's hits: Go on home girl (later recorded by the Stones and Ry Cooder) and our favorite Arthur Alexander ballad: In the middle of it all, plus the gorgeous Dan Penn-penned ballad "Rainbow road" which remains Artur's signature tune. Track listing: Rainbow Road --- Down The Backroads --- I'm Comin' Home --- In The Middle Of It All --- Call Me Honey --- It Hurts To Want It So Bad --- Love's Where Life Begins --- Come Along With Me --- Burning Love --- Go Home Girl --- Call me in Tahiti (THIS SONG IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE OUT-OF-PRINT CD REISSUE!!!) --- Thank God He Came. Finding a still sealed original copy of this SOUL CLASSIC?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see.

·       CONDITION:

·       RECORD

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID)

(b)          The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
