Description
After taking a year off from Ebay, I am returning to sell some items now that I have the time to devote that my customers deserve.
Up for auction is blues LP by Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, "Mean Ol' Frisco," Fire Records (label on back is Fury Records), FLP-103, 1962, Mono.
Tracks:
- Mean Ole Frisco
- Look on Yonder Wall
- That's Alright
- Ethel Mae
- Too Much Competition
- Standing at My Window
- Rock Me, Mama
- Greyhound Bus
- Coal Black Mare
- Katie Mae
- Dig Myself a Hole
- So Glad You're Mine
The song "That's Alright" (written by Crudup) is the same song that Elvis recorded and made into a hit.
Crudup actually stopped recording in the 1950's because of conflicts with receiving roaylties (all the songs on this album were written by Crudup except one). This LP was made from the masters used to make the original 78s, which is why it is desirable.
Play graded VG. Record has more than a few lines and scuffs, but plays with minimal static with exception of a couple of tracks that play with mildly louder static and a pop or two. Labels have light scratching around record hole. Album cover has a couple of pieces of tape, light wear on seams and an almost split on bottom, but no actual split. Record wear on front and back.
This is a rare and exceptionally fine album, so bid early and often.
Please do not hesitate to e-mail me with any questions.
U.S SHIPPING ONLY. I will consider international shipping at a future date, but right now U.S. BIDDERS ONLY.
