Description
Crudup's After Hours backed with That's All Right, by Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, is on RCA Victor Records (50-0000), from 1949, pressed in the U.S.. This was the first 7" 45 rpm rhythm and blues single. It's also the song that became the first release by Elvis Presley. This is an original 1949 pressing. In price guides I've seen this referred to as being in both orange or red wax. This copy, as you can see in the photo, is pressed in orange vinyl. If you hold it up to the light it does appear to be a translucent red. There is a filing sticker on the "b" side. The record is visually graded as VG+. There are no scratches that I can feel with my finger. On both labels Crudup is listed as a Blues singer with guitar and is backed by Ransom Knowling, string bass and Judge Riley drums. The matrix numbers on the "a" side are 50-0000A1S A2C1 and on the "b" side 50-0000B 1S A1BS
