THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING WHICH FEATURES THE ORIGINAL MIX AND MASTERING. Later reissues were remastered (2014) and the digital CDs are obviously digital recordings which are different than this LP.
Beautiful copy of Arthur (Lee Harper)'s first solo album released with little promotion. Add the fact that L.H.I. had a very hit & miss distribution system that was in place in 1968 and this LP was hard to obtain in a retail shops in 1968 when it came out, also the re-servicing by LHI to US stores was non-existent.
I actually CALLED LHI in 1968 to order an LHI LP that I could not find (International Submarine Band). I was told by the executive secretary that LHI had no direct retail outlets - but the secretary was quite kind and gave me two locations in Texas that LHI shipped the LP to. Houston was closest to me in San Antonio, so I called the shop and reserved the ISB LP and that weekend I drove 360 miles (roundtrip) and bought it / brought it home.
THAT was you had to through to get an LHI album in the late 1960s. Of course, in a year, many LHI LPs appeared in the "bargain bins" at large retail box stores. That's where I got this LP, at Woolco (see stickers on the shrink).
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 32 years.
