I still often listen to this album and while listening I usually find myself marvelling at two things, that this is even from the UK and that it was recorded in '67. It sounds like no other British psychedelic album from that vintage. Tho' I love that peculiar style of English psych that's whimsical, fey and melodic, Art recorded something much more American sounding with the whimsy quotient turned way down than was par for the UK course. It also sounds much more like something that you might here in late 68-early '69. To my ears it's kind of like an early, less progressive version of something like The Move's "Shazam" album.

Several strong tracks here. "Think I'm Going Weird", "Room with a View", "Supernatural Fairy Tale", "Love Is Real", "Alive Not Dead" and "Rome Take Away Three" are all tracks that any self respecting 60's psych fan need to hear. Too bad they morphed into the much, much less interesting Spooky Tooth.
