Nine Beethoven Symphonies
7 LP vinyl record set in leather binder.
This is an extremely rare limited edition set of which this is #G361.
Recordings in this set were performed between 1949 and 1952 at Carnegie Hall, NYC.
The condition of the records are beautiful VG++ and appear to have been seldom played. Each record is enclosed in it's own sleeve in a leatherette binder which also contains an attached 24 page booklet pertaining to the composer, director and the performances therein.
The leather cover of the binder has a removable medallion of Toscanni's portrait as sculpted by Leonardo Bistolfi. The reverse of the medallion has a facsimile signature of Toscanni.
The thick leather binder is in VG+(+) condition with no tears, etc. with very light wear and some light seam/edge wear and corner spine bumps as seen in the scans. Everything is intact to the spine (booklet and record sleeves), with no splits in the cover or the thick paper sleeves that hold the records.
