London-born, but longtime California-based liquid space modulator ASC gazes into the 'Vanishing Point' on Spatial Audio's behalf, stocking four new lyrical litotes in drum & bass style. Arriving after a run of releases rushing toward minimalism, ambient drift and 90s-styled jungle stratuses, 'Mystic Street' and 'Invisible Borders' are chiming, focus-diverting tunes, preferring to waft and wave sonic charm bracelets in the miraging distance, not tear into our ears brazenly. ASC's trajectory is under-appreciated for its parallel shaping in ambient and techno; his Auxiliary label began as a platform for experimental half-time pieces and became a testing ground for this later grey-area sound.
