ASD 2331 HAYDN Cello Concerto JACQUELINE DU PRE /BARENBOIM RARE LP first PRESSING - This was Jacqueline Du pre’s first recording with her husband Daniel Barenboim And to quote from The PENGUIN STEREO RECORD GUIDE “ She gives a performance of characteristic warmth and intensity ... the very power of her personality is vividly conveyed ... Barenboim ensures the orchestra follows every nuance , one can but marvel. This is the sort of performance that defies cold analysis” So a rather special recording . This is a NEAR MINT copy - . DISC looks and plays pretty much as new . This is a UK STEREO Pressing from 1967 (MATRIX 2YE4 3278 - 1G ) on the original Red 1st SEMICIRCLE HMV label (His Master’s Voice printed in bold white letters around a semi circular “Nipper”logo covering much of the top half of the label.. This copy was previously owned by a professional SOUND ENGINEER and has been very carefully looked after since its original issue over 40 years ago.
