HAYDN / MONN: CELLO CONCERTOS – JACQULINE DU PRE
The second most rare and sought after Du Pre release this LP is a must for all serious music enthusiasts. This is a genuine 1st Edition release on the HMV Red Semi circle Label. The recording represents a supreme talent at the peak of her abilities.

GRADING
SLEEVE: EX
Sleeve is in superb condition with a sharp crispness to the edges and spine. The spine is straight and true with no breaks and absolutely no flattening. The front shows no wear or damage except for a couple of factory pressed laminate wrinkles. There is some light feathering at the aperture. The rear of the sleeve is in similarly superb condition with some very, very slight discolouration. The flip backs are bright and clean.
RECORD: EX+
The record looks near perfect with a single hairline to the beginning of side 2 and the possibility of a couple of ultra-fine sleeve removal marks (these are difficult to detect even under 100w light). There are obviously no actual scratches. The record sounds truly remarkable. I sometimes find it difficult to understand why some recordings are prised above others but this recording is a genuine treat and one that is very difficult to part with. The record plays through as new with no crackle and no distortion of any sort.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
