Description
FRANCK 'VIOLIN SONATA IN A MAJOR' & BRAHMS 'VIOLIN SONATA NO. 3 IN D MINOR' 1969 STEREO LP.
DAVID OISTRAKH, Violin.
SVIATOSLAV RICHTER, Piano.
Recorded in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire, December 28th. 1968.
Pressed in England and released on Melodiya/HMV ASD 2618..
Play grades as EX.
On both sides all musical & vocal passages play clearly & brightly.
There are no sticks, jumps or skips and no evidence of any groove wear at all. There is a little quiet, very brief dust noise in just a few places. There are also a few quiet 'tics' in side 2, band 4.
When tilted under normal lighting side 1 appears to be unmarked, side 2 has a faint double surface mark about 2cm. long at about 4 o'clock (probably the cause of the tics in band 4).
When tilted under halogen lights side 1 still appears to be unmarked but side 2 has just a few more light marks visible.
Front laminated 3-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve grades as EX.
EMI Classical LP advertising inner sleeve grades as EX.
The Polythene inner is missing (which may not be a bad thing).
I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.
See photos.
