Description
ASD 267 BEETHOVEN SYMPHONY 5 Andre Cluytens Berlin Philharmonic WHITE GOLD 1st
Beethoven: Symphony No.5 / "Leonore" Overture No.3.
Andre Cluytens and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.England pressed EMI HMV stereo LP, ASD 267.
Earliest white and gold label.
Vinyl visually in strong VG plus condition. A few spider trail marks around the spindle areas, but not excessively so.The playing surfaces are still glossy but display four or five longish hairline scuff marks. None of these are deep enough to be felt and they do not produce audible ticks.
Playback is slightly ticky however, more to the beginning of the sides. Otherwise the surfaces are bright and clean and without distortion.
"Emitex" inner sleeve is fairly clean and tidy.
External sleeve around G plus. Main defect which drags the grade down is a slightly untidy and ragged seam split to bottom left which runs nearly half the length of the sleeve. There are also neater seam splits developing to the entry side, around an inch and a half to top and half an inch at bottom. Spine is clean and intact and entry side is neat and unfeathered. Front panel is clean and tidy. Matt rear panel has uniform age toning. A small red sticker with black marker pen slash mark to top right corner of rear panel.
