(HMV ASD 270 UK LP 1958)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a fully laminated flipback sleeve which has a very thin spine. It has a gold circular "Stereophonic" sticker on the front. The rear flipbacks have a die-cut rounded centre area. It comes with its original polythene-lined company "Emitex" inner sleeve.
The record has "white and gold" HMV labels which are grooved also. It has 1st press 2YEA 52-4 and 2YEA 53-2 matrix numbers. This is the very earliest UK pressing with a fully laminated sleeve and grooved labels. These are very rare. I have some other rare UK Stereo Classical LP's for sale.
Sleeve: The laminate has lifted slightly from the sleeve at the opening. This has caused some discoluration for about 3-4 cm of the front sleeve going away from the opening. There is some light to mild ringwear. VG condition.
Vinyl: Light to very mild sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. VG++ condition. The labels are in excellent condition and show very light spindle wear only. Plays Very Near Excellent to Excellent overall. There is some very light crackle in a very few of the quieter passages. The company "Emitex" inner sleeve is in Near EX condition. There is some light wear and no seam splits.Traceable insurance is already included in the shipping price for overseas buyers.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
