Description

1960 UK 3LP Gold And White Label Stereo Box Set With 56 Page Libretto. Joseph Keilberth conducting The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Featuring Rudolph Schock, Elisabeth Grummer, Gottlob Frick, Karl Kohn and Lisa Otto. . Vinyl  side 1 near perfect  side 2 minor 1cm mark 9-30 band 2 and tiny almost undetectable smudge 11 o'clock. side 3 scuff at 10 o'clock halfway through and scuffing/sleevewear at 12 o'clock in 3 areas but no feelable marks side 4 hairline 4 o'clock band 1 and minor 1cm hairline 4-30. There is a cluster of small lines between 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock about halfway through which indicate sleevewear due to the record sitting too long in the middle of the pack. No feelable marks though and will be fine. side 5 couple of small cleanable blotches 10 o'clock. side 6 minuscule blotch at 4 o'clock halfway through and possible small hairline at 9 o'clock but nothing to worry about. Overall visual grading side 1 Ex+ sides 2, 5 and 6 Ex side 3 Ex- side 4 VG+. The Box is in sturdy condition but has a few blotches as can be seen in the pictures so the grading would be a conservative VG+. Libretto and insert are both fine.  I think this is an excellent set and once the buyer has given it a vinyl machine clean it will be outstanding.  Returns are accepted within 30 days so it gives the prospective buyer a chance to clean thoroughly and test play. I reckon I won't be seeing it again after the auction though.
