Description
Up for your consideration is a 1964 original television soundtrack of Astro Boy in the story of "The Three Magicians," on the Simon Says record label, and authorized by NBC.
The 33 1/3 LP record sleeve is still in its original shrink wrap! (see pictures) However, there is a 3" seam split at the bottom of the sleeve itself. Otherwise it is super clean and free from stickers and handwriting. It would be perfect for framing - something I was going to do, but never actually got around to the doing!
The record plays nicely, with minimal surface noise and minor pops; there are no major scratches, gouges or skips. The record labels have no stickers or handwriting on them.
The content of the record is, well, dubious. It's great to hear (and sing along with) the opening and closing themes, but unless you're familiar with the television episode, it's a bit difficult to visualize some of what is going on. But you can certainly follow the plot without too much difficulty. As a bonus - and just in case you don't have a turntable - I'll include (at no extra charge) a CD that will contain the audio from the record!
I've started the bidding at the original Kmart price of $1.57! So have fun!!

*** Upon further inspection, there is also a 2" split along the middle of the top seam of the cover as well. My apologies for this omission from the original listing! ***
*** I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE! NON-U.S. BIDDERS PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR ACCURATE SHIPPING CHARGES BEFORE BIDDING! ***
*** While the dubbing the record to CD, I noticed that there is a small scratch on the record that gives a slight recurring click halfway through the opening theme. I have been able to remove the most egregious of these clicks without digitally altering the actual sound of the record on the CD you will receive. I mention this only to give you the most accurate representation of the item up for bid. ***
