Audience on this album come across much like Charisma Records' answer to Family - a psych-prog band with a vocalist with a distinctive and energetic style. Musically speaking, Audience have much more jazz and folk influence than early Family, but Werth's powerful delivery really does put me in mind of Roger Chapman's vocal mannerisms. It's a good match to the music, which manages to get far darker and heavier than you'd expect psych folk-jazz to get - especially on the menacing and accusatory Priestess. Audience seem to be comparatively forgotten compared with other Charisma stalwarts like Genesis, Van der Graaf Generator, or even Rare Bird  and this is a real shame; they certainly deserve recognition for their contributions to the early prog scene. 

So, so hard to find, Audience's second album. I am very happy to be able to present this fantastic and ULTRA rare album as a first press. This will be a great first acquisition for the discerning prog collector!!! 

I AM OFFERING ANOTHER HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER PROG / PSYCH ROCK VINYL LP RARITY FROM MY COLLECTION OF SIMILAR ITEMS !! A FANTASTIC ALBUM,  GREAT CREATIVE MUSICIANSHIP, BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT TO EVERYONE'S TASTE . A MUST FOR ANY PROG COLLECTOR.

Vinyl: VG+/EX.   Barely any spindle traces. The audio is fantastic and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed with poor distribution. The audio has beautiful separation and there is barely any background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are no marks and just a couple of the shallowest hairlines which are really just paper retraction lines . Under a strong light source a few light wispy paper retraction traces are visible. In normal daylight it looks totally flawless. Played in full on my Linn Sondek/ Rotel/B&W set-up. Needless to say NO jumps, sticks, clicks or ticks. 

  Sleeve: EX. Matt "E.J. Day Group" gatefold sleeve without any damage or creases. An ultra vulnerable matt sleeve which would be hard to find in any condition at all. I have come across this album three times in 30 years. It is indeed very rare.  The spine is still 100% and the opening is still crisp. Light edge wear on the top and bottom edges. It must be impossible to find this album in such great condition. The inside gatefold has all credits and lyrics printed . B&C credits on the inside gatefold as only the first press has. NO writing, NO splits, NO tears etc. The pictures tell all.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. The chance of finding this album in any condition at all is negligible so late in the day. Finding it in this splendid condition will prove nearly impossible!! Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
