Title: Musique Arabo-Andalouse – G.Paniagua & Atrium Musicae De Madrid

Original French pressing from 1977 on HARMONIA MUNDI, HM 389. Includes a 16-pages booklet with extensive linernotes about the music and the instruments in French, German & English. The “Atrium Musicae De Madrid” under the direction of Gregorio Paniagua performs music of the “Middle Ages” as performed in the region of “Al Andalus” in South Spain, wich was a mediaeval cultural center where musical styles of people from North-Africa, Arabia & Europe met and where something new and very special was created.

This recording is absolutely amazing concerning immediacy, completeness and sonics. You can hear just everything of the recording, making the renaissance instruments sound 100 % alive, as only a few recordings do.

Condition: side 1 looks ex with just a few superficial signs of use only to be seen under a strong light; side 2 looks ex- due to 1 tiny hairline, the rest looking the same as side 1. Due to many moments of silence and the low character of the music I've listened to the complete record: both sides play in mint- to mint--, there's one singulat tic at the beginning of side 1.

The cover has intact seams/spine; just slightest shelfwear, overall mint--. The booklet is perfectly in mint-.

Zustand: dies ist eine von 3 Originalausgaben der legendären LPs von G.Paniagua auf Harmonia Mundi, die ich in meinen Auktionen anbiete. Diesmal geht es um die mitteralterlich Musik aus der Region Andalusiens, wo damals Nordafrikanische, Arabische und Spanische Einflüsse aufeinandertrafen und eine ganz eigene Art von Musik hervorbrachten. Enthält ein 16-seitiges booklet mit Infos über die Musik & die Instrumente.

Seite 1 ist optisch in ex mit nur ganz wenigen unter hellem Licht erkennbaren Gebrauchsspuren, Seite 2 hat zusätzlich eine kleine hairline, optisch ex-. Ich habe die LP nochmal komplett angehört, denn es gibt sehr viele Moment der Stille, die Musik ist durchgehend eher leise und die authentische audiophile Aufnahme verbirgt keinerlei Mängel: beide Seiten spielen in mint-/mint--, es gibt aber einen tic am Anfang der Seite 1. Das cover ist sehr schön erhalten, insgesamt mint--. Das booklet ist neuwertig in mint-. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
