Australian Jazz Of The 70's Vol. 9  The Rankin File & Owen Yateman's Big Fat Brarse  Label: Jazznote  Cat# JNLP-013/S
Okay, here we have an amazing Australian Jazz rarity!! The funkiest and definitely most sought for release on the Jazznote Label next to 'The Smilor' by Alan Lee Jazz Quintet!! No discogs database information as yet!
This record never turns up, and i was sure it didn't actually exist until i managed to trace one down myself. 
Now 2 copies deep, i present my spare and well cared for copy for Auction!!

Features amazing cover versions of 'Norwegian Wood' and 'Sister Sanctified' by The Rankin File. 
But the B-Side is where the Magical Funk is!! A really really funky cover version of Herbie Hancock's 'Chameleon' here with spaced out percussion and that classic Chameleon groove belting through the mix!! Was featured on the Respect Overdue Compilation series some years ago. 
The Disc is near perfect. No big marks or scratches whatsoever. Perfect flat and playback is lovely!

Cover was very hard to take pictures of due to laminate glare. It has light edge wear and some minor storage scuffing/light scratching to front and back of it. Highly presentable copy!

All records shipped in new tough mailers with reinforced stiffeners. Packed outside cover to avoid seam splits, new inner sleeve and outer  Blake sleeve.
