Back in the day I ran vinyl record stores… and in that time I was able to meet and spend time with a number of acts when they came through town.
In October of 1980 "The Police" were in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada touring Zenyatta Mondatta. We organized an in store autograph session for their fans and the Police Police had to attend for traffic control as the streets were blocked off so many turned out. No wonder! I've included a picture of Sting followed by Andy in my store.
The group shot above is backstage after the concert. Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland were gracious with their time and signed everything... for everybody.
My autographed Police Badge 45 on auction today hung in the store and as such shows signs of a little wear, but the autographs make her stand out.
