"From The Pyre" is the highly anticipated second studio album of the probably most hyped newcomer band from the UK - The Last Dinner Party. The five-piece London band went to the studio at the end of 2024 with Grammy-winning producer Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence & The Machine, Bjork) to start working on the acclaimed successor debut album "Prelude to Ecstasy" from 2023. On “From The Pyre” you can hear a band that has a lot of fun and does not feel pressured despite the incredible success of their debut album. It is also the sound of a young band that has developed their songwriting together and has matured into a close unit for a long time on tour. The band says about the album: "This album is a collection of stories and the concept of the album as a myth connects them. "The Pyre" itself is an allegorical place where these stories have their origin, a place of violence and destruction, but also of regeneration, passion and light."
With two BRIT Awards and sold-out concerts around the world, the arrival of The Last Dinner Party on the music scene and the subsequent worldwide success was one of the most exciting debuts for a new British band in decades. With the announcement of "From The Pyre", everything now indicates that this unprecedented success story will continue seamlessly.
