Description
Roberto Gerhard: The Plague. Alec McGowen, narrator; National Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, Washington DC / Antal Dorati. Decca Headline 6, 1974. Booklet and original sleeve included. Cover has light ringwear and a little rubbing around the edges. Vinyl has some surface discoloration that does not affect the sound. Vinyl plays EX; there's a few noises at the beginning and end of side 1, and at the beginning of side 2. I spot-checked several places per side and didn't hear any noise anywhere else. Playing surface is quiet, and of course the sound is legendary. You'll hear why this made the TAS list.
