Without question, this is one of the finest sounding orchestral records I have ever heard. Not only does it startle you with its dynamics, this is the kind of record that has crunch in the trumpets, drum whacks that send sound waves across your listening room floor, and an orchestral spread unGodly in its realism.

Beautiful recordings here of Glinka RUSSLAN AND LUDMILLA Overture, Mussorgsky KHOVANSHCHINA PRELUDE and NIGHT ON BALD MOUNTAIN, plus Borodin PRINCE IGOR, all captured in a natural sounding presentation of the LSO with Sir Georg Solti at the helm.

An extraordinary LP: In a cover without fault, UK platter within will play near mint.
