About Bill Schereck, writer, producer, & singer.
Bill’s involvement in the music business began early with bands in high school and college and during the years that followed worked as a booking agent, recording engineer, concert promoter as well as a performer. In 1970 he was one of the Producers of the Poynette, Wisconsin, and Wadena, Iowa, Rock Festivals. In 1971 he started a sound company that provided concert systems to over 200 top acts including Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Charlie Pride, Frank Sinatra, Trapeze, Foghat, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, Journey, Aerosmith, The Raspberry’s and Kiss. Bill wrote a song about the road crew called “The Roadie Song” which Bill and the crew recorded. Mercury Records released the songs as a single in January, 1975. Bill moved to Los Angeles at the end of 1975, and in addition to becoming Tour Manager with the Casablanca Records’ group, Angel, he was involved in the production of nine albums and three films, including the Jodie Foster film “Foxes”.  By 1983 he had moved into television where he produced Saturday Night at the Video and Music Row Video in Nashville. He moved to Dallas, Texas, in 2001, and after a 27- year hiatus has begun playing and writing again. This information was taken from his web site introducing his CD "A Texas State of Mind".
