Description
"Swaunee Water and Cocaine Blues" was released by the Atlanta, GA "one man band" Abner Jay sometime in the 1970s on the private Brandie Records label (LP-1001). There are 9 originals that should appeal to fans of outsider, "real people" artists: "Cocaine Blues," "I'm So Depressed," "The Reason Young People Use Drugs," etc. The liner notes reveal Abner's secret for good health, "layin' on his belly, drinkin' water from the ol' Swaunee River," which explains his pose on the cover. Unfortunately the previous owners liked the cover so much they stapled it to something so it could hang on their wall - all four corners have staple holes and a small amount of related damage. Otherwise the cover is still in the original shrink wrap with no seam splits or marks. Let's call it VG due to the staple holes. The vinyl plays NM except for a 10 second section during side 2, track 1, which is pretty noisy, so we'll lower the grade to VG+.
