I am new on EBAY. I am a music lover, who loves rock from the sixties to the seventies mainly. My main concern is getting the vinyl right. I have a REGA RP 6 with an ORTOFON MMBLACK cartridge. While not an audiophile my system is way above average. I am trying to price things along the slightly lower end of what it has sold for in the past. For every record I buy there are probably 15 I choose not to. There are some beater records that I am trying to sell but they will be described as such. In that case it is usually a good deal on something that plays solidly with some noise to it. I know that trust needs to be earned and respect that.

Grading Guidelines M is sealed. Sealed records don't usually have M covers. They usually suffer wear over the years NM vinyl may have a few light scuffs no scratches. Nm covers will have very minimal wear maybe a light corner ding. No tears or sticker damage. No splits. Ex vinyl is actually very similar to NM it is honestly a judgement call between the two. EX jackets will just have a little more pronounced wear and may have some light ring wear.  Vg ++ is the same as ex but just sliding down the scale a bit more in both regards VG+ gets to where it is a bit more obvious. The vinyl may have a few light scratches that you can't hear. No gashes. The sleeve scuffing and wear will be a bit more pronounced. The Jacket will get to the point where it is still solid but more worn.
Grading is very subjective , no matter what is placed on this site by any number of experts it is a human thing. We are selling used records. There is a certain trust that is involved.  I will not fudge a grade to try and get into a better category. I will be within a half grade of any standard that is out there. At times I will be actually better than advertised.  Any problems will be dealt with in a fair and prompt manner.
