Description

"NEAR UNOBTAINABLE" DID I SAY?......TOTALLY UNOBTAINABLE IN THIS CONDITION!

Despite this extreme rarity being almost sixty years old - I bought it myself on eBay from the original owner who assured me it had never been played since he bought it new in 1967 (from somewhere - obviously not a record store). I'm a collector" he said "I don't play most of my records" There were four active bidders that day in 2002 (unlike 2026 when to get two would be a remarkable achievement). I had to bid an outlandish sum to win it - although I knew how rare this title was even then. When I received the vinyl - I couldn't believe its condition, despite him telling me he had never played it. It is simply new....completely unmarked on both sides - the flip side being "Daddy, What'll Happen to Me" - a rather depressing title, and since I've never played it either - God knows what DID happen to the poor kid. I don't think ANYONE has ever played it! I never have I assure you!
It comes in its original promo-cover which is also MINT - no tears, stains, doodles or creases - surprising, considering its age and being very thin paper. It has always had a plastic outer cover which I took off to avoid light reflection in the photographs. Obviously I will replace it should someone buy it - and that certainly won't be any bargain hunter - only a knowledgeable collector looking for this particular 45 and fully aware of its value in this condition.
It's this or the other copy at $2,192.00 What's your preference?
