This is your opportunity to own the holy grail of Afghan Whigs record collecting - the band's first album “Big Top Halloween”, self-released on Ultrasuede Records in 1988 - pre Sub Pop. Only 1000 were pressed.

And to up the ante on the rarity of this LP - the cover was signed in the last 6 weeks by all four of the original Whigs - Greg Dulli, John Curley, Steve Earle, and Rick McCollum. While there is a chance that a copy or two exists somewhere in a private collection signed by that lineup, I seriously doubt it. 

The vinyl is super clean and looks as if it was never played. The cover shows a little bit of wear along the edges, but not much. This copy came from a friend of the band with a prodigious music collection who knows how to properly store records. Comes with the original paper insert.

It will be shipped in a dedicated record mailer (an extra $3.00 will be added for the cost of the mailer) with extreme care taken with packaging. For the serious vinyl collector, I will ship with the record out of the sleeve upon request.

All proceeds from this sale will go a fund for the purchase of a memorial for a late friend of the band.

Copies of this LP don’t come up for sale very often. And as far as I can tell, no signed copy has ever been offered up. This is it!

The Fine Print:

All payments must be made within three days of the auctions end. 

I will ship items anywhere in the world within 7 days of payment received. All items will be sent via US Mail. If you do prefer another shipping method, please let me know and I will see if I can accommodate your wishes.

Auction winner will pay all shipping costs, including insurance and any materials purchased for the safe shipment of your items. I insist on insurance for all shipped items for your benefit and mine. Please know that I will try and find the most economical yet safe method of packaging your item. I will only be able to provide estimated shipping costs, but will inform the auction winner if the actual costs far exceed my estimated costs before shipping the item. In the event, and only in the event, that the actual packaging and shipping costs far exceed the estimate, and the winner feels that those costs are too high, I will let you rescind your bid with no negative feedback.

STOLEN PACKAGES/DAMAGE: I am not responsible for someone stealing/taking your package once delivered. If the package is received damaged, you will need to take and send me pictures so I can file a claim with the shipper. Please do not initiate a return for an item received damaged - I will get back to you with next steps.
