Secondhand Record Album For Sale

  • Item: 1983 record album by Koffi Olomide -- Safari Music Presente Koffi Olomide Dans Ngounda. This is Tchika 001. Looking at the back, it seems like this came from The African Music Gallery in Washington, D.C. Soukous is dancefloor, disco or dance music from the Congo area and is also known as Lingala. Congolese artists recorded a lot in France and Belgium back in the 80's since the music became very popular among French speaking people. My understanding is that around that time, synthesizers were used in this type of dance music which originally derived from the Rhumba. Single albums usually ship in Bags Unlimited brand cardboard record mailer. Multiple records usually ship in a box of my own construction. Please see my listings for other desirable titles!
