Description
1976 1st US pressing on the Clocktower Records label - CT-0085 A/B matrices
Iconic dub masterpiece, the title track of which was a late-70's Punk era go-to track at any live music venue worth it's salt. The credits on this are a "Who's-Who" of Jamaican greats - produced by Horace Swaby, players include Carlton & Aston Barrett, Earl "Chinna" Smith, Robbie Shakespear, Bobby Ellis etc.
Cover is pretty much in EX condition but for a couple of light creases across two corners (as shown in last two photos). Super clean on the back which has a predominantly white background, unusual to find as clean as this.
Vinyl has some very light faint marks under strong light but no major scratches or other nastiness. I've played this all the way through many times & it's a great listen - but bear in mind it's not an archive copy & has a little crackle on occasion & maybe the odd light tick but nothing nasty & no jumps or skips at all. All in all this is sound as a pound (or maybe make that a Riyal these days ;-D)
Hard to find an original copy from any country, let alone in this condition. A rare opportunity to own a dub banger that won't disappoint lovers of that genre. Check out the prices of this version on Discogs & you'll see my starting price is very fair.
Will be well packed for dispatch, I know what I'm doing on that front, you can rest assured - check my feedback if in doubt. Will be sent by Royal Mail next day Special Delivery signed-for due to its value or can be collected in person - I'm based in Southend in Essex.
