Description

Alan Parsons Project Eye in the Sky RARE Embossed Gold Foil Cover 1st UK Press 1982 Vinyl LP in EX/NM conditions. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
This iconic album has been part of my father's private record collection since was first released in 1982 and it has been really well looked after.
This version comes with a stunning embossed gold foil cover and presents no issues at all other than one tiny crease along the spine. Spine is fully legible and overall looks absolutely amazing in true NM conditions.
Vinyl is really glossy and shows only one hairline visible under natural light (shown in picture), and some tiny and wispy hairlines visible only under strong artificial light (these have probably been caused by inserting and removing the vinyl from the inner sleeve). I have recently listened to it and playback was superb, with the majority of the record having really minimal background noise and in some parts noise is completely absent. All in all record is in EX conditions bordering NM specs.
This copy comes with the original printed lyric sheet/inner sleeve, which is in really good shape with a seam split (1 cm) to the bottom edge.
Matrix/Runouts: 204666 A-1 (side A) - 204666 B-2 (side B)
This specific version is considered amongst record collectors to be a rarer and highly collectable copy for its heavily embossed gold foil cover (not present in all pressings). Also despite back cover states it has been printed in West Germany, this is a 1st UK Press (European copies have GEMA, BIEM and STEMRA as rights society in the labels whereas UK presses have MCPS).
I will also clean the vinyl after the auction ends so that the new owner can enjoy an even better sound quality.
Please have a look at the pictures and should you want to see more (eBay ads are limited to a maximum of 12) do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to send more. I am also happy to send audio samples, provide further description and answer any questions you might have!
