Albert King - BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN
STAX Records - 1967 - STAX 723 Mono (Stereo versions are S723)
Original Blue label with iconic STAX logo. The STAX label changed from blue to yellow in 1968 when their contract with Atlantic Records ended.
Albert King's first release for Stax Records. Providing accompaniment to Albert King, who sang and played lead guitar, were the then Stax in-house recording session band, and soon to be legends themselves, Booker T. and the MGs.
VINYL: Excellent "like-new" condition, no scuffs, scratches etc.
COVER/JACKET: Great condition overall, only very minor usage wear with some "blunting" at corners.
Early first signs of "ring wear" at the bottom of front cover. Ring wear is very common as, over time, albums rub against each other within collections.
NOTE: The dark area in the photo at the bottom left of the jacket is from the camera flash and NOT ring wear. The actual wear is much less discernable.
There are 2 perforated holes (one in the top left corner and one in the bottom left corner). It was common practice for labels to punch holes in jackets of albums that were given out as free promotional copies. I will assume that this is the case here.
Album will be shipped in standard corrugated cardboard LP mailer.
