Prestige Bluesville 1076, “Creepin’ Blues” with Alec Seward, vocals and guitar; Larry Johnson, harmonica; from 1963. Original-label, non-DG vinyl has a few light sleeve scuffs and plays at VG++ with slight background static. The standard non-laminated jacket is in the original shrink wrap which has shrunk back a bit from the opening. There is about 1 inch (2 cm) of light seamwear at the bottom right corner; otherwise, the seams are solid and wear-free all around. Corners are square; there may be a bit of ringwear at bottom (it may be on the shrink?); there are no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “Big Hip Mama”, “Evil Woman Blues”, “Goin’ Down Slow”, “Sweet Woman”, “Some People Say”, “Creepin’ Blues”, “I Made a Mistake in Love”, “Piney Woods”, “Late One Saturday Evening”, and “Let a Good Thing Do”. This is one of a set of original Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this week on eBay. Most are original DG copies in remarkable condition, and many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
