Alexander Lord Weymouth is the stage name of Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath, who in the 60's created Longleat Safari Park at his home in the gardens of Longleat House.
In the 70's, he released a folk/ psychedelic album. Peel played a track from this rare LP by Alexander George Thynn, under the pseudonym of Alexander Lord Weymouth in 1987.
The LP was released in 1974 and was the only record made by Alexander George Thynn, who was known for his artistic creations, including his colourful style of dress, which he acquired as an art student in Paris in the 1950s, as well as being a prolific amateur painter who had decorated rooms of his home with erotic scenes from the Kama Sutra.
