You are bidding on a Warner Bros. US pressing copy of the  Alice Cooper - Pretties For You LP released by Warner Bros. Records in 1972.  This is WS 1840. This record came out of the collection of a central Texas music fan, known to many musicians/fellow music lovers, who tragically lost his life late last year. He frequently attended concerts and shows here in central Texas and elsewhere. He enjoyed meeting musicians and liked to get their autographs, such as this record.  It has been signed by Alice Cooper!  His signature can be found on the front of the jacket (see picture) and has been signed in silver marker.  By his signature is the number 87, probably the year he signed this particular jacket. The record is in VG+ condition. The record labels are in VG+ condition. The gatefold record jacket is in VG condition with some shelfwear, ringwear,  and edgewear. Also added to this auction is a fold-out poster of Alice Cooper (photo by Annie Leibowitz) taken from the Rolling Stone Scrapbook, which we found inside the jacket. The poster is only in G+ condition and has been torn half way down the vertical fold of the poster. We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:

Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches.  generally still a great playing copy.  jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
