Audio- 
Side1- A1 surface noise during the start and the quieter parts, music overpowers nearly all the track, A3 surface noise at the start, A5 surface noise at the start and at the end, A2 and A4, music o/powers any backgrnd noise
Side 2- Surface noise start of B2, loud for approx 15 secs midway thru the track, loud clicks throughout B3, surface noise loud throughout B4, surface noise o/powered by the music B5

Visual-Vinyl is clean with a nice shine

When Looking Under A Strong Light-  numerous surface marks are visible, as well as several more prominent surface marks on Side2, and a couple of more prominent surface marks on Side 1





 Gatefold embossed "wallet" sleeve   (Good-/Fair)
Covers are well worn with tape residue marks along all the edges, tape removal marks near the opening edge which reveals the cardboard

Inner Gatefold Sleeve- has sticker removal marks mainly on the l/h inner gatefold, small tear on the bottom r/h corner of the die cut square, a couple of small pieces of tape are still on the sleeve, 
the l/h inner gatefold has been repaired to keep it intact, as a result the record will not fit into the slot of the l/h  inner gatefold sleeve.




Edges- (Fair/Poor)
Edges are very heavily worn,and in poor condition with deep scuffs, esp the spine which has small tears at the top/bottom sections, 

Picture Lyric Inner- sections of discoloration and staining, tape residue marks bottom edges, 10cm seam split bottom edge, 9cm and a 8cm seam split one on each side edge

When Looking Under A Strong Light- several fine small surface marks are visible, as well as 3 small more prominent marks on A3




Outer Sleeve- (EXC/EXC-)
 die-cut card sleeve which folds open like a school desk.
Looks superb, tiny sticker removal mark, the inner part of the sleeve looks superb, there is a very small 1cm tear on the bottom l/h corner were the sleeve folds upwards to make the desk, 
The edges are in superb condition, spine details crystal clear, tiny dinks on the spine, tiny deep corner rubs











I only grade mint if the record is brand new and unplayed.
I send all records in a Brand New Inner Sleeve, a  Brand New Poly Outer Sleeve, and use a Strong Professional Cardboard  Mailer with 2 cardboard stiffeners, the package is placed into a Poly Mailing Bag for extra protection.





All albums are from my personal collection.
I have tried to be as transparent as possible and grade the Record as accurately as possible, the Grading Guidelines are listed below.

Excellent

The record shows some sign of being played, there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The sleeves might have slight wear and or creasing.

Very Good +

The record may show slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratching that do not affect the sound, slight warps that don’t affect the sound are OK, there may be some very light ringwear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.

Very Good + sleeves should only have minor wear and may have some defacing such as cut-out marking.

Very Good

Records will have surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially during quieter moments and during a song’s intro and ending, but the noise will not overpower the music.

The record has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the sleeves, without major defects is acceptable.

Good

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated , perhaps with some distortion and scratches, the sleeve will suffer from folding, scuffling of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
