Description
This is a rare item. The very first recordings of Grammy winner Alison Krauss in 1985 at age 14. Other artists on the album are Jim Hoiles, Maurice Bruce "Swamp" Weiss and Alison's older brother Viktor. Alison plays on four of the tracks. Sally Goodin', Dusty Miller, Grey Eagle, and Nick's Noodle. The record consists of a total of 12 tracks.
The record and album are in mint condition. It is still wrapped with the original sealing plastic, but is not completely sealed. It was opened up by me when I purchased it to make sure that it actually contained the record. The record itself has never been played or even removed from the paper sleeve.
From the back of the Album:
Different Strokes is acoustic music in a traditional framework, an assortment of standard and original fiddle tunes in styles including: old-time Ozark; Scotch-Irish; Texas-Competition;Bluegrass and Progressive. The making of this album is a reassurance that this musical heritage will be enjoyed by other generation..performing here are musicians ranging sixty years in age, from fourteen to seventy-five (at the time of this pressing).
I have had 5 requests about shipping this item to Europe. I tried to revise the shipping on the listing to indicate such and could not figure out how to make it do so. My intent is to not make money on the shipping, but I will not ship to Europe without having a means to track it. The shipping people suggest that it would cost approximately $75 to Europe over the priority mail price to a US location. So, if you live in Europe and win the auction, I will charge an additional $75 or actual additional shipping charge whichever is less. Don't include the shipping in your bid. Just know you may be paying an additional $75 if you win and need it shipped to Europe. Hope that makes sense.
