PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
INCREDIBLE, HUGE 6 LP lot including an ultra rare flyer for the LEGENDARY late 70s-mid 80s Chicago north side punk club Tuts (which became the Avalon, who also hosted some now legendary bands) that has been FULLY SIGNED by the Road Games era band including Allan himself!!! Lot includes LPs on CTI, Enigma, Warner Brothers, and his self-released I.O.U. debut. Buying all these LPs individually would cost $24.00 in shipping alone so don't sleep. Someone's getting a sweet deal.
1) Atavachron - original Enigma pressing from 1986. Includes BOTH original label catalog insert sheets!! LP is a gorgeous VG++ with a few light paper scuffs and cover is VG+/VG++ with a hint of ring.
2) Velvet Darkness - rare original pressing of the debut LP on CTI from 1976 with original iconic CTI inner sleeve!! LP is a beautiful near mint minus and cover is VG+/VG++ with barely a hint of ring.
3) Metal Fatigue - third outing from I.O.U. on Enigma from 1985!! LP is a stunning near mint minus and cover is VG+/VG++ with a hint of ring.
4) U.K. - debut LP from this jaw-dropping supergroup from 1978 with original glossy full color inner sleeve!! LP side 1 is a gorgeous near mint minus and side 2 is VG+/VG++ with a few light scuffs. Cover is easily VG+, close to VG++, with a hint of ring.
5) I.O.U. - their debut LP from 1982 on the label. LP side 1 is a beautiful near mint minus and side 2 is VG+/VG++ with a few light paper scuffs. Cover is VG with curled top right hand corner.
6) Road Games - original Warner pressing from 1983. LP is a stunning near mint minus and cover is VG+/VG++ with barely a hint of ring. Imagine my shock when, along with the LP, out came an original yellow flyer for the legendary Crypt at even more legendary punk club Tuts, which later became the Avalon, who also hosted many now legendary bands in their day. But I digress. The Crypt at Tuts featured a who's who from the local music scene spinning 7 days a week until 4 A.M. (5 on Saturdays) as evidenced by the D.J. lineup on the flyer. Before he went on to massive infamy with Ministry/Revolying Cocks/Pailhead/Lard/1000 Homo DJs etc. etc., Al Jourgenson manned the decks here along with Bobby Skafish and Johnny Mars, both windy city radio legends. Incredibly, this piece of Chicago history is signed on the rear by every member of the Road Games LP lineup including Allan himself along with what is presumably singer Paul Williams' phone number and address in Tustin, California as Holdsworth stayed with him in the early part of his American residency before his family settled here as well. With Holdsworth and Williams now both sadly gone this is a rare opportunity to own this piece of both their histories. Both artists have astounding CVs, Holdsworth not only as a member of Soft Machine, but also for the MASSIVELY collectable prog opus Igginbottom's Wrench. Williams was not only a member of hard rock legends Juicy Luicy, but also the Ainsley Dunbar Retaliation, who's Warning was famously covered by Black Sabbath on their game-changing debut LP. Don't miss your chance.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
