Allman Bros Band At Fillmore East 1971 US 1st Press Club Edtn VG/VG+
THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND - THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND AT FILLMORE EAST Seize the absolute pinnacle of live musical history with the legendary 1971 US original double-LP first pressing of At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band. Widely revered as the greatest live album ever captured on tape, this monumental 1971 Capricorn release (SD 2-802) showcases a band operating with a breathtaking, telepathic musical brilliance. Produced by Tom Dowd, the heavy analog wax captures the definitive, fiery twin-guitar synergy of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts alongside Gregg Allman's gritty, whiskey-soaked organ grooves. From the scorching slide-guitar masterclass of "Statesboro Blues" to the sprawling, 23-minute improvisational heavy blues odyssey of "Whipping Post," this album transcends the live format entirely. Verified by the highly coveted, early solid-pink Capricorn labels and the historic 1841 Broadway address in the rim text, this pristine gatefold artifact is a museum-grade cornerstone investment for any elite classic rock, blues, or vinyl purist worldwide. 1971 US first pressing release by Capricorn Records, catalog # SD 2-802; this is the Atlantic Recording Corporation Record Club of America edition. Double album (2xLP) with pink labels. Discs are autocoupled. Sleeve grades VG+. No material issues but also not "like new". Just an old gatefold sleeve in really good condition. Vinyl grades VG. For the most part it play tests VG+ but there are areas including the first ~30 seconds of A1 with some pops and crackle. The surface noise stays behind the music but VG is the appropriate rating. Vinyl surface has various light scratches, surface marks and hairlines also inline with the grading.Allman Bros Band At Fillmore East 1971 US 1st Press Club Edtn VG/VG+
